Katie O'Donnell

In 2005, at the age of 16, I became the youngest member of the USA Field Hockey Team. In the 8 years since, I have had some of the most amazing experiences imaginable.  My life has been a sequence of one exciting event after another, from playing in the London Olympics to winning the Pan American Games and even being named the 2010 Women’s Sports Foundation’s Sportswoman of the Year.

These memorable events continue to occur as I train and compete as a now-veteran member of the USA team. While field hockey has opened many doors, it is only one of the things that make up my day to day life.  While practice takes up a large portion of my days, I do find time to fit in DIY projects, reading, playing with my puppy, and kicking around a soccer ball. Ultimately, I find it extremely difficult to sit still for longer than 30 minutes without getting bored!
